Over the years, cereal manufacturers and other companies have included collector cards in packets to encourage buyers to continue to buy their product. Additionally, early cigarette packet included cards featuring sportsmen and other images. The cards below were available in packets of Weeties, Crispies &/or Vita-brits and are dated to about 1954/55.

CLARK GABLE CARD

Card #17 of a series of 30, this card of Clark Gable has the following information on the rear.
Real name William Clark Gable. Born Cadiz, Ohio, February 1, 1901; height 6'1"; weight 190 pounds; eyes grey; hair black. Motion picture debut in "The Painted Desert" in 1931. Won Academy Award for "It Happened One Night" in 1934 and reached peak of suces with the role of Rhett Butler in Selznick's "Gone With The Wind". he recently severed a long association with metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and signed a multiple pictue deal with 20th Century-Fox. His first picture under this deal will be the CinemaScope drama, "Soldier of Fortune."
Condition
- worn corners, and a little bumped on some of the edges, but generally clean and looking good.

 

CLIFTON WEBB

Card #16 of a series of 30, this card of Clifton Webb has the following information on the rear.
Real name Clifton Webb. Born Indianapolis, Indiana, November 19, 1896; height 5'11.5"; weight 150 pounds; eyes hazel; hair light brown. Under contract to 20th Centure-Fox where he made his motion picture debut in "Laura" in 1944. he has since appeared in "The Razor's Edge," "Sitting Pretty," "Mr. Belvedere Goes To College," "Cheaper By The Dozen," "It Beats The Band," "Titanic" and more recently in the CinemaScope comedy-romance, "Three Coins In The Fountain." he is currently in the CinemaScope drama "Woman's World" and will be seen in "Lord Vanity."
Condition
- worn corner. The upper corners have a little creasing too. else clean and looking good.

 

CORNEL WILDE

Card #23 of a series of 30, this card of Cornel Wilde has the following information on the rear.
Real name Cornel Louis Wilde. Born New York City, October 13, 1915; height 6'1"; weight 175 pounds; eyes brown; hair brown. Rocketed to stardom after his performance as Chopin in Columbia's "A Song To Remember" in 1945. Under contract to 20th Century-Fox, he has appeared in "Leave Her To Heaven," "Forever Amber," "Walls oOf Jerico," "Road House," "The Treasure of Golden Condor" and Paramount's "The Greatest Show On Earth." His latest assignment at 20th Century-Fox is the CinemaScope comedy-drama "Woman's World."
Condition
- bumped and creased corners. small patch of insect damage that has removed the top(image) of the card (near ear in pic), and and 8mmx15mm stain on the rear-bottom edge that has bled thru a little on the front.

 

DONALD O'CONNOR

Card #18 of a series of 30, this card of Donald O'Connor has the following information on the rear.
Real name Donald David Dixon O'Connor. Born Chicago, Illinois, August 30, 1925; height 5'8"; weight 137 pounds; eyes blue; hair brown. O'Connor rose to fame in the role of "Francis" and the sequels that followed the success of that film. His most recent hits were "Singin' In the Rain," "I Love Melvin," "Walkin' My Baby Back Home" and "Call Me Madam." the talented song-and-dance artist will be shortly seen in 20th Century-Fox's giant CinemaScope musical, Irving Berlin's "There's No Business Like Show Business."
Condition
- worn/bumped corners, a couple of mild creasesa small loss of colour/surface (just above his ear in the pic) and couplf od small stains near the bottom of the card. Otherwise looks good.

 

DOROTHY McGUIRE

Card #25 of a series of 30, this card of Dorothy McGuire has the following information on the rear.
Real name Dorothy McGuire. Born Omaha, Nebraska, June 14, 1919; height 5'6"; weight 120 pounds; eyes blue; hair burnt blonde. Scored smash hit in Braodway play, "Claudia," and in 1943 starred in 20th century-Fox's film version and was signed to a contract. She later starred in A Tree Grows In Brooklyn," "Claudia And David," Gentleman's Agreement," Mister 880" and was recently seen in the CinemaScope comedy-romance filmed on location in Rome and Venice, "Three Coins In The Fountain."
Condition
- bumped and slightly worn corners, top corners have a crease, small spot of paper(colour) loss on her forehead and in red on shoulder. Else good.

 

GENE TIERNEY

Card #5 of a series of 30, this card of Gene Tierney has the following information on the rear.
Real name Gene Eliza Tierney. Born Brooklyn, New YOrk, November 20, 1920; height 5'5.5"; weight 113 pounds; eyes green; hair reddish brown. Rose to fame in the "The Return Of Frank James" in 1940 and has been associated with 20th Century-Fox since, appearing in "Son Of Fury," "Thunderbirds,", "Heaven Can Wait," "Laura," "Leave Her To Heaven," "The Razor's Edge," "That Wonderful Urge," "Where the Sidewalk Ends" and "Way Of A Gaucho." She is currently starring in the CinemaScope productions "The Egyptian" and "Black Widow."
Condition
- bumped and worn corners, one has a small crease too, but generally good.

 

GREGORY PECK

Card #19 of a series of 30, this card of Gregory Peck has the following information on the rear.
Real name Gregory Peck.Born La Jolla, California, April 5, 1916; height 6'2.5"; weight 170 pounds; eyes brown; hair dark brown. Made motion picture debut in "Days of Glory" in 1944. now under contract to 20th Century-Fox where he starred in "Keys of the Kingdom," "Gentleman's Agreement," "David & Bathsheba," The snows of Kilimanjaro" and more recently the CinemaScope drama, "Night People." Other outstanding pictures in which he has starred are "Devil in the Sun," "Spellbound," "The Yearling," "The Paradine Case" and "Roman Holiday." He will shortly star in the 20th Century-Fox CinemaScope drama, "The Left Hand of God."
Condition
- A crease mark or 2, corners are a little worn and bumped, very minor edge damage on one side. Rear has a small patch of paper-loss and a tiny brown mark/stain. Looks good overall.

 

JAMES STEWART

Card #2 of a series of 30, this card of James Stewart has the following information on the rear.
Real name James Stewart. Born Indiana, Pennsylvania, May 20, 1908; height 6'3.5"; weight 155 pounds; eyes grey; hair brown. In pictures since 1935 and has appeared in "Rose marie," "You Can't take it With You," "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," "The Mortal Storm," "The Philadelphia Story" (Academy Award winning role 1940), "Zeigfeld Girl," "The Stratton Story," "Broken Arrow," "The Jackpot," "Harvey," "No Highway in the Sky," "Bend in the River," "The Glen Miller Story" and "The Rear Window." He will shortly star in the 20th Century-Fox CinemaScope drama "Jewel of Bengal."
Condition
-dirt/marks on front (see pc), and a couple of lesser ones on the rear. Corners bumped/worn, and a tiny indent on the bottom edge. Nice otherwise.

 

JEAN SIMMONS

Card #13 of a series of 30, this card of Jean Simmons has the following information on the rear.
Real name Jean merilyn Simmons. Born London England, January 31 1929; height 5'4.5"; weight 108 pounds; eyes hazel; hair dark brown. Established herself as a big star in England where she starred in "Hamlet" and "Trio." Howard Hughes brought her to America in 1950 and she starrred in a succession of films for him.She appeared in 20-th Century-Fox's first CinemaScope production, "The Robe," and in 1954 was placed under contract by that studio. She is currently starring in the CinemaScope drama "The Egyptian" and will be seen shortly in "Desiree."
Condition
- the corners are creased, and there are a couple of other creases as well. A tiny mark shows on the front bottom left corner.Rear is good, other than marking in the same corner.

 

JUNE ALLYSON

Card #14 of a series of 30, this card of June Allyson has the following information on the rear.
Real name Jan Allyson. Born Lucerne, New York, October 7 (note: it does not include the year on the card); height 5'1"; weight 97 pounds; eyes blue; hair blonde. Motion picture debut in"Best Foot Forward" in 1943 for MGM, where she was under contract until 1953 and starred on "The High Barbaree," "Little Women," "Too Young to Kiss," "Battle Circus" and "Executive Suite." She was recently seen on "The Glenn Miller Story" and is currently starring in 20th Century-Fox's CinemaScope comedy-drama "Woman's World."
Condition
- heavy corner creases, corners also bumped/worn. Otherwise clean and looking great.

 

LAUREN BACALL

Card #15 of a series of 30, this card of Lauren Bacall has the following information on the rear.
Real name Laruren Bacall. Born New York City, September 16, 1924; height 5'6.5"; weight 119 pounds; eyes grey-green; hair tawny blonde. Motion picture debut in "To Have And Have Not" in 1945 for Warner Brothers, where she was under contract until 1950, and starred in "The Big Sleep," "Key largo," "Dark Passage," "Young NMan of Music" and "Bright Leaf." She appeared recently in 20th Century-Fox's CinemaScope comedy, "How to Marry A Millionaire" and is currently starring in the CinemaScope comedy-drama "Woman's World."
Condition
- A dark spot on the front near the top and a small spot or two of surface/colour loss; very light foxing on the rear; bumping/wear to the corners.

 

MAGGIE McNAMARA

Card #8 of a series of 30, this card of maggie mcNamara has the following information on the rear.
Real name Maggie mcNamara. Born New York City, June 18; height 5'2"; weight 96 pounds; eyes hazel; hair dark brown. Sensational film debut in "The Moon Is Blue" in 1953, for which she received an Academy Award nomination. She signed a contract with 20th Century-Fox in 1953 and appeared in the CinemaScope romance, "Three Coins in the Fountain." She will be seen shortly in the ambitious CinemaScope drama, "Prince of Players."
Condition
- A couple of tiny marks in the top right corner; bumped/worn corner; otherwise clean and looking great.

 

MARLON BRANDO

Card #30 of a series of 30, this card of Marlon Brando has the following information on the rear.
Real name Marlon Brando. Born omaha, Nebraska, April 3, 1924; height 5'10"; weight 170 pounds; eyes grey; hair brown. Brando won acclaim for his role as Stanley Kowalski in the Broadway production of "A Streetcar named Desire." he made his film debut in "The Men" in 1950 and followed in the film version of "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Viva Zapota!" "Julius Ceasar," "The Wild One," "On The Waterfront" and will be seen shortly as Napoleon Bonapart in 20th Century-Fox's CinemaScope drama, "Desiree." He has been nominated three times in succession as Best Actor of the Year at the annual Academy Awards ' 1951, 1952 & 1953.
Condition
- Some tiny marks on the front & back, bumped/worn corners, otherwise nice.

 

MICHAEL WILDING

Card #26 of a series of 30, this card of Michael Wilding has the following information on the rear.
Real name Michael Wilding. Born Westcliff, Essex, England, July 23, 1912; height 6'1"; weight 175 pounds; eyes blue; hair brown. Became a top star following his teamings with Anna Neagle in "Piccadilly Incident," "Courtney's of Curzon Street," "Spring in Park Lane," "Maytime in Mayfair," "Lady With A Lamp" and "Derby Day." Under contract to MGM, where he was seen in "Torch Song" opposite Joan Crawford and will be seen in "The Glass Slipper." He recently starred in Darryl F. Zanuck's first personal CinemaScope production for 20th Century-Fox, "The Egyptian."
Condition
- very clean, corners are wornwith very minor crease on top left corner.

OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND

Card #9 of a series of 30, this card of Olivia De Havilland has the following information on the rear.
Real name Olivia De Havilland. Born Tokyo, Japan, July 1, 1916; height 5'3.25"; weight 112 pounds; eyes brown; hair brown. Motion picture debut in 1935 in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Twice winner of coveted Motion Picture Academy Award for "To Each His Own" in 1946, and "The Heiress" in 1949. Reached peak of success as Melanie in "Gone With The Wind" in 1939. Devoting much of her time to the stage, Miss De Havilland will be seen in one of her rare screen appearances in the 20th Century-Fox CinemaScope release, "That Lady" - her first since "My Cousin Rachel" in 1952.
Condition
- Clean - though creased and bumped on the corners.
